Success at the National Organic Food Awards

2013  
Langley Chase Organic Farm, Chippenham, Wiltshire, has won Gold in the Meat Category at the National Organic Food Awards for its rare breed Manx Loaghtan Mutton. TV celebrity, writer, comedian and Food Awards Judge, Hardeep Singh Kohli, presented the awards at a ceremony in London on 19 September.

The awards were presented in Clarence House Garden, London, with His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales in attendance, on Wednesday 26 July.

Langley Chase Organic Farm, is Highly Commended for both its lamb and mutton in the Meat Category of the prestigious National Organic Food Awards.  The Farm has now won 12 National Organic Food Awards!
 2009  

Langley Chase Organic Farm, wins the Meat Category of National Organic Food Awards - recognising the farm as producing the best tasting organic meat in Britain. The Farm won the top prize for its organic lamb and was also highly commended for its organic mutton.

 2008  

For the first time in the Competition’s history, all the organic meat (from fish and chicken to veal and venison) was judged in one category ‘meat and fish’. We are very proud to have been highly commended, especially when competing against all every other organic meat and fish producers in the country!

 2006  

The Farm wins Gold for our Mutton and Silver for our Mutton and Mint burgers. Award judges, including Giles Coren, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Raymond Blanc and Sophie Grigson, said: Langley Chase Organic Farm's mutton: "has a fantastic flavour, is delicious and fresh with a great colour and texture."
 2004  

We win the title Britain's Best Organic Lamb for a second year in a row at the awards. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Giorgio Locatelli and Darina Allen were among the distinguished judges who said Langley Chase organic lamb was "An excellent example of balance in texture, flavour and depth, a clean, clear taste with a lovely fat covering." The farm's Year Lamb won highly commended.
 2003  

Langley Chase wins Best Organic Lamb, a hotly contested category. The Farm's Lamb and Mint burgers were highly commended. Raymond Blanc, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Sophie Grigson joined other food experts and top chefs to decide this year's winners. The judging panel said: "Langley Chase Organic Lamb produced dark cuts of meat with a distinctive taste, with an excellent grassy flavour and nicely tender."

The Farm secures its second award at the National Organic Food Awards, scooping joint third place in the Lamb Category.

We enter the National Organic Food Awards for the first time and win joint second place in the Lamb Category.
